This time I came to Huiyang to attend the industry client conference, and stayed at Grand Skylight International Hotel Huizhou for three whole days. As a business traveler who often travels to the Pearl River Delta for business occasions, I have seen many hotels that focus on high-end positioning, but I rarely encounter places that engrave "thoughtfulness" into daily details like this - its first-class service is never deliberately polite, but always appears at the right time when you need it.
On the day I first arrived at the hotel, it was a weekday evening rush hour. I drove from Pingshan, Shenzhen, and arrived more than two hours later than the scheduled check-in time. I thought I would be waiting in the lobby, but the front desk staff had already coordinated the room with the housekeeping department based on the itinerary I had noted in advance. As soon as I parked my car and walked to the lobby, all the procedures were completed in two minutes. The concierge saw me holding two large boxes of conference souvenirs in my hand, and before I could speak, he took the initiative to help me. He delivered the items all the way to the high-rise guest room where I lived, and even helped me arrange the boxes neatly in the corner of the wall. Even when I casually mentioned, 'We need to move these souvenirs to the venue tomorrow,' the other party smiled and said, 'Don't worry, we will arrange manpower in advance and transport them directly to you tomorrow.'.
After checking in, the details were even more attentive. The next morning, I had to catch up with the customer meeting at 7:30, so I had no time to go to the restaurant for breakfast. With a trial mentality, I called the front desk and in less than 10 minutes, the organized and bound materials were delivered to the door of the conference room. Even the supporting file bags were packed for me in advance, which did not delay the progress of the meeting.
What surprised me most was the hotel's ability to deal with emergencies. On the third day, a heavy rainstorm broke out in Huiyang. I didn't take my umbrella with me. I was worried about how to go to the nearby convention center to meet customers. The staff of the concierge department directly handed over a customized umbrella with the hotel logo, saying that you should take it first and return it when you came back. There was no cumbersome process of requiring a deposit and registration information. When I came back in the evening, most of my leather shoes were wet in the rain. The housekeeping lady saw this and quietly took my shoes to dry. When I finished taking a shower and came out, the dry shoes were neatly placed on the shoe rack at the door, with a small bag of shoe cleaning cloth next to them.
Even during busy periods when the hotel hosts large conferences and people come and go in the lobby, the service is not discounted at all. When I was waiting for a client in the lobby, the staff took the initiative to bring me a cup of warm lemon water. Seeing me holding thick meeting materials in my hand, they even handed me a soft cushion pillow to make it more comfortable for me to sit and wait. As a luxury hotel that has been rooted in Huiyang for many years, after staying for two days, I realized that it is a treasure trove for nearby business travelers and short distance vacationers, balancing the river view atmosphere and travel comfort perfectly.
The hotel is located at No.1 Danshui Peninsula Road, Huiyang District, with a particularly convenient location. It is only 11.7 kilometers away from Kengzi and can be reached directly by car from Pingshan, Shenzhen in just over 20 minutes, without wasting time in long-distance traffic. As soon as I arrived at the hotel entrance, the staff from the concierge department took the initiative to help me pick up my luggage and guided me to park in the hotel's free parking lot. There were 900 parking spaces, and I didn't have to worry about not being able to find any space. The new energy vehicle charging stations were also fully equipped, making it very convenient to drive over to recharge.
The decoration of the lobby is stable and atmospheric. As a luxury hotel completed in 2017, it exudes exquisite texture everywhere, without any feeling of old or dilapidated. With a smile, they reminded me that the outdoor landscape pool would be open from mid May to early October and that I could experience it for free during my stay.
The 42 square meter business twin room I am staying in offers a panoramic view of the hotel's outdoor swimming pool from the window. The design of the accessible shower is thoughtful and convenient, and the facilities in the room are well maintained with no signs of use. The spacious solid wood writing desk is particularly suitable for handling conference materials. The high-speed WiFi is stable throughout the entire process without dropping, and even after two hours of online video conferencing, there will be no lag. The softness of the bedding is just right. After a busy day, I fall asleep and the sound insulation in the room is particularly good. After closing the door, I can't hear any external movements at all, and I slept soundly all night. Every detail is thoughtful, including a separate bathtub, high-definition TV with screen mirroring, and free mini bar drinks. Even if you stay for two or three days, your daily needs can be taken care of properly.

The 24-hour fitness center is fully equipped, and even at 9pm, you can take a half-hour run to stretch your stiff shoulders and neck. The hotel's own restaurant has a wide range of breakfast items, including Chinese and western dishes. Hakka Dim sum with local characteristics are authentic, and you will be full of energy to meet customers after eating.
It's also very convenient to stroll and play around. It's a 560 meter walk to Huiyang Sports Convention and Exhibition Center, and 1.5 kilometers directly to Hongyuan International Plaza Commercial Pedestrian Street. After the meeting, you can take a break in the evening to go to the business district for a stroll and eat. It's only a 20 minute taxi ride to the banks of Dongjiang River, where you can take a walk along the river and enjoy the evening breeze. All day's work fatigue can be relieved. There is no noisy and crowded hotel in the bustling city, but the location, service, and facilities are all perfectly arranged.
